Elizabeth & Kent
Dear Birth Parent(s),
Thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents for your child. We hope that you are able to learn about us and our family.
We are very active people! We enjoy going for walks around the neighborhood as a family, plenty of nature hikes at the parks or nearby nature preserve, and are very active with playing sports. Kent is always participating in either basketball leagues, football, or softball (Duke is already stacking up a hefty list of sports teams that he’s involved with as well!). Liz enjoys hiking and working out, as well cooking and baking (Liz has perfected the chocolate chip cookie, and Kent’s co-workers are now reaping the benefits with the extras that are made).
In our free time we love spending time with our family and friends. We take a couple different family trips every year to go visit family and friends of ours around the country. We truly are best friends, and we are always there to pick each other up when we are having a hard time. Our relationship is very silly and playful, and we are always very honest and open with each other.
After years of infertility we started our journey of adoption, and in the spring of 2015 we received a call that we had been matched with a birthmother. Becoming adoptive parents to Duke has been such an incredible blessing. We have learned and grown so much since becoming parents, and cherish the opportunity to raise an additional child. As Duke gets older he has started asking for a sibling, and has shared how he looks forward to teaching a brother or sister everything that he has learned.
Family is very important to us, and we have been fortunate that our families have been very supportive and loving through our journey.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know our family, and look forward to possibly meeting you in person. We would once again like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for the chance to be adoptive parents to your child. We, along with our family and friends, will love, teach, and provide for your child for the rest of our lives.
~Kent and Liz
