Cheri & Troy

Dear Birthparent(s)
We are thankful for the opportunity to share our profile with you. We admire your courage and strength during this momentous time in your life. Troy and I were married in 1999 and knew from the beginning that we always wanted a family. When we were unable to get pregnant we both under went fertility testing and sought medical treatments to help us get pregnant. After years of trying and one miscarriage we started to gather information on adopting. We are both very excited about building our family through adoption. Our relationship has become stronger because of the hardships of infertility.
We live in a ranch style home that we purchased in 2000. Our front yard has a very large garden with perennial flowers, herbs, and a few vegetables; our niece Mallory calls it the “flower museum”. The front driveway is very long and is attached to a side street with a cul-de-sac, perfect for riding bikes. We are also near several bike trails and a nature preserve.

Troy and I are both very active and enjoy the outdoors. Troy has been an avid volleyball player for the past 20 years. He plays on leagues and has been a coach for grade school, high school, and club teams. We both enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and in the last few years began yoga. I enjoy doing anything that involves creativity such as drawing, photography, gardening or making jewelry. A typical weekend is usually spent at home cooking, watching a movie, home projects, or visiting with friends and family. We value our relationship and know that what we have is special.
Both of us come from families with four siblings. Troy is the oldest in his family and I am the second oldest in mine. Between the two of us we have a total of 10 nieces and nephews. The ages range from one month old to 14 years old. My family lives close by so we are able to see each other often. Troy’s family is somewhat spread out with his sister and parents in Sturgeon Bay and one of his brothers in Texas, but this allows for lots of mini vacations. We take several trips up to Door County and at least one or two trips per year to San Antonio. Our friends and family have always been a support to us and are very excited about our desire to adopt a child.

Troy is a software business analyst, and I do part time freelance work for a photo studio.
We look forward to watching our child thrive in all their endeavors. We are here to offer love, support, and guidance through all the ups and downs. Our desire is for our child to have confidence, compassion and a joyful spirit. It is important that they feel safe in the world and know that anything is possible.
Thank you again for your consideration and we wish you the very best.
