Cheri & Troy

Hello,

We are thankful for the opportunity to share our profile with you. During this time we can’t imagine what you are going through. With each new day may you find the answers and unforeseen possibilities that feel right for you. When Troy and I married in 1999, we knew that we wanted a family.  We were unable to conceive so began the journey to adopt.

We live in a ranch style home that we purchased in 2000. The yard is about one acre with lots of room for games and sports. In the front of the house, I have a very large garden with perennial flowers, herbs, and a few vegetables; our niece Mallory calls it the “flower museum”. The driveway is very long and is attached to a side street with a cul-de-sac, perfect for riding bikes.

Troy and I are both very active and enjoy the outdoors. Troy has been an avid volleyball player for the past 20 years. He plays on leagues and has been a coach for grade school, high school, and club teams. We both enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and in the last few years began yoga. I enjoy doing anything that involves creativity such as drawing, photography, gardening or trying new recipes.  A typical weekend is usually spent at home cooking, watching a movie, home projects, or visiting with friends and family. We enjoy our relationship and have lots of love and fun to share.

Both of us come from families with four siblings. Troy is the oldest in his family and I am the second oldest in mine. Between the two of us, we have a total of 10 nieces and nephews. The ages range from 2 years old to 16 years old.  My family and Troy’s brother lives close by, so we are able to see each other often at birthday parties and games or recitals. Troy’s other family members are somewhat spread out with his sister and parents in Sturgeon Bay and other brother in Texas. This allows for many mini vacations to Door County and at least one or two trips to San Antonio per year. Our friends and family have always been a support to us and are very excited about our desire to adopt a child.

Troy is a software business analyst, and enjoys working with computers. I do part time freelance work for a photo studio, and look forward to being a “stay at home” mom.

We look forward to watching our child thrive in all their endeavors. We are here to offer love, support, and guidance through all the ups and downs. Our desire is for our child to have confidence, compassion and a joyful spirit. It is important that they feel safe in the world and know that anything is possible.

Thank you again for your consideration and we wish you the very best.
