Bradley & Joseph
Dear Birthparent(s), Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. March 2011 marked our six year anniversary as a happy, healthy and energetic couple. We met in Milwaukee where we lived for three years before relocating to the Fox Cities for work. The Fox Cities have offered us a slower paced life; a life focused on family, careers, community and our new home. We both work for colleges and strongly believe in the value and importance of quality education. Working on college campuses provides many enriching and meaningful opportunities for our family, including music lessons, quality childcare, a college education for our son or daughter and a vibrant community of interesting and intelligent people. We are grateful to have careers that both embrace and value our growing family.
We are a family of three; the third being our Boston Terrier named Oliver. We have worked hard over the past two years to become comfortably situated for a son or daughter who we will love and provide with every opportunity and experience possible. A major part of getting ready was buying the perfect house. We live in a 1930’s character home located in a historic part of Appleton, which is just a few blocks away from several beautiful parks and the scenic Fox River. We believe this is the ideal neighborhood to raise a child. Our child will have a safe and nurturing environment, playing with neighborhood kids, spending time at the parks, taking Oliver for walks and swimming at the pool. We believe in living life to the fullest, which means keeping a balance between working hard and finding adventure. Outside of work we frequently find ourselves spending weekends traveling, trying new restaurants, checking out community events (our new favorite is the Fox Valley Roller Derby), hunting for hidden treasures at estate sales and supporting the arts scene. Last summer Joseph ran his first half-marathon and plans to do another one soon. Bradley recently started a class to learn more about web design. Together, we enjoy teaching Sunday School for Kindergartners at our fellowship and taking Yoga classes. We are lucky to have a very full and rich life and look forward to sharing adventures with our child and making memories as a family.
Both of our families live relatively close, which means we have the opportunity to spend lots of time together around the holidays, summer festivals, baseball games, birthdays and backyard BBQs. Our son or daughter will be the first child on both sides of the family. His or her grandparents and aunts and uncles are very supportive about our adoption plans and are excited about the first baby in our family.
Thank you again for taking the time to learn more about our family. While we understand that a two dad family might be a new idea, please know that we believe family is more about love, respect and care for one another than anything else. We are part of a strong and healthy community that includes our family and friends, many of whom are two dad and two mom families, who will love and support our son or daughter. If you would like to get to know us better, please contact Adoption Services to view our lifebook or meet in person. We wish you peace, happiness and the best of luck as you consider an adoption plan for your child. Joseph and Bradley
