Jorge & Julie

Dear Expectant Parent(s),

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as adoptive parents for your precious child. We know that this is a very important and difficult decision and want to support you in your journey as much as we can. We promise to love and care for your child unconditionally and to make sure they know how much you love them to make this adoption plan. We want to understand your hopes and dreams for your child and be comfortable in your decision. We would be happy to speak with you at any time if you would like more information about us.

Our names are Jorge and Julie Aguilar. We met about nine years ago. We both
volunteered on neighboring fire departments and would sometimes be on the same rescue calls. Jorge was also in school at the time getting his degree as a
Cardiovascular Technician and I worked as a nurse at an area hospital so we would see each other at local training events. Our paths continued to cross in our jobs and we became good friends. Our strong friendship led to a loving relationship and we were married.

We are best friends. Our relationship is based on our faith, love and a mutual respect for one another’s needs. We love to laugh and enjoy life! We purchased our home four years ago and enjoy it so much. It is in a beautiful safe neighborhood with good schools and very nice neighbors. Our yard gives our two dogs Louie and Isabelle space to run and play. We have a nice sledding hill for the winter and room to entertain in the yard in the summer. We have extra bedrooms for company and use them on a regular basis when family or friends visit.

We both enjoy working on the house. In our free time, Jorge is usually building
something new or working in the yard. Julie loves to garden and care for the flowers. We both enjoy cooking and like to try new recipes or make authentic Mexican recipes Julie has learned from Jorge’s mom. We have an annual tamale making party where we invite our friends and family over to help make hundreds of tamales that we eat throughout the year on special occasions. We both love to read or just relax around the fire pit or fire place depending on the season.

We both have very large families and love to have them visit. Julie is the youngest of five and has several nieces and nephews and two wonderful grown children Nicole and Jacob. Nicky is getting married in October and is in her Master’s program for Health Care Administration. She works at an area hospital. Her fiancé Zach is a local musician. Jake is married to his beautiful wife Kathy and is currently in the Navy. He plans on pursuing a career in law enforcement when they return home. He has a degree in Criminal Justice. Kathy has a teaching degree and plans on teaching when they return home. We are so proud of all of them!

Jorge is the younger of two children but has several aunts, uncles and cousins that live near his parents in Los Angeles. Some of his family are living in Mexico. Jorge’s parents are so excited to have their first grandchild! Jorge lived in Mexico from age 10-17 when his family move there to help a sick family member. He is fluent in Spanish and serves as an interpreter at the area hospital where he works in the Cath Lab.

Our family and friends are very familiar with adoption. Julie has a niece and nephew that are adopted and one of Jorge’s best friends is adopted. Our families and friends are very supportive of us adopting and can’t wait to meet the newest member of our family. We are so excited to be able to add to our family and share our lives with a child through the blessed gift of adoption!

Thank you again for viewing our online Profile. We believe you are very strong and courageous to consider an adoption plan. Whether you choose to follow an adoption plan or to raise your child we wish you all the best! Please feel free to call or write to us for more information or view our Profile books at Adoption Services offices.
