Crystal & Dave

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us; we are Dave and Crystal. We have been together for five and a half heavenly years and married for the past three. We met while Dave was in the Navy, stationed out in Bremerton, Washington. We now live in Dave's home town of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Crystal is originally from Washington state and loved it there, but now considers Wisconsin her home.

After Dave served our country for eight and a half years, he got a job as a test technician for a company that makes electrical distribution equipment. In his free time, Dave enjoys reading, listening to music, watching and playing sports and spending time with his wife. Dave plays on a softball team with his older brother and he also plays on his company basketball team each year. He can not wait to have a little one cheer for him on the side lines. He is very close with his family and we live minutes from most of them (his mom lives less than two miles away). He is definitely the type of guy that is playing with the kids on the floor while the adults are talking.

Crystal was an esthetician and co-owned a day spa while living in Washington. When we moved to Wisconsin, Crystal became a housewife who is anxiously waiting to upgrade to a stay-at-home mommy. She adores children and has two amazing godchildren that love her. Crystal enjoys cooking, baking, reading, swimming and oil painting. She loves trying new recipes, especially cookie recipes. She brings cookies to every one of Dave's softball games.

We love living in Wisconsin. Some of our favorite pastimes here are going to Brewers games, watching Packer games, having family and friends over for barbeques, going to the movies, camping (s'mores!), going to the Milwaukee Zoo (our zoo pass has paid for itself many times over), and going to the State Fair. We love getting out into the community and finding new places and events to explore. Last year we found the Rockabilly Chili Cook-off and now we're hooked -- we'll be there annually. During the holiday seasons we enjoy going to pumpkin patches, driving around looking at Christmas lights, hosting Thanksgiving dinner, and decorating our house for the seasons. You should see our house during Christmas time -- It's a winter wonderland.

We have a fantastic neighborhood -- it's the perfect place for children. We live within walking distance of Banting Elementary School, Horning Middle School, and two great local parks. We live in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom house, with an amazing backyard for some serious play time. It's perfect for sprinklers, throwing balls around, barbequing, sidewalk chalk, picnics, everything you need for an amazing childhood.

Our animals are very important to us. We love spending time with them. We have a black cat named Xander (he's been with Crystal for over 11 years), a Pug named Frank, a tortoise shell cat named Beatrice, and a Boston Terrier named Seeley (We usually call him Cow though). They are all very excited to have a little brother or sister running around the house.

We have dreamed about being parents for a long time now. There are just so many things we are excited about. Crystal already has a library of books to read to our future children. Dave can not wait to introduce them to sports -- he'll be such a great coach someday. We both have such a great family; everyone constantly asks about the adoption and can not wait to see the child that will be in our lives forever. We have a phenomenal group of friends that are more like family than friends. They can't wait to hold our miracle baby someday. Not only is everyone excited about a baby, but they are excited to welcome (with open arms) a birth mother and birth father into our family and close circle of friends.
