Dear Expectant Mother and Father:
This is one of the most difficult decisions in your life!
When my husband and I first met, we were at an age where we were both ready to settle down and start a family. We were totally in sync as to what we wanted in life. We have quite a bit in common, for instance, we are very social, easygoing, caring, and responsible individuals.
Stephanie wanted two children and Mike wanted six. We were always willing to compromise. We have always joked about us having twins. “Twins” run highin both of our families.
We've been thinking about adoption for some time. We are not able to have children biologically. We tried fertility treatments for several years. We came to the conclusion that it didn't matter how we became a family, just that we did have a family. During our whole adoption experience, we have had oodles of support through family, friends, and coworkers. I hope that you, as well, have had people to help you out, to lean on, and to listen to your thoughts and prayers.
We have so much love to give to any child. He/she will be well cared for. What a blessing it will be to bring such a beautiful being into this world. A true miracle that would make our family complete.
We hope that your decision will include us. Best wishes!
Michael and Stephanie
Here is a precious poem that I found that fully explains all of our emotions so beautifully. To My Baby by Karen Ledbetter I knew of you before your birth, I loved you before we ever met. I prayed for you day and night, Thankful your birthmother had chosen life. The waiting was so anxious and hard, You already held a place in my heart. Weeks went by and sometimes I cried. Finally one day came a call with goo news. Tears of joy fell on my cheek The first time I held you, precious Baby, so tiny and sweet. I'm thankful your birth mother had chosen life. Rocking and singing sweet lullabies, You've brought much joy to so many lives. I'll love you forever, sweet little one. Memories to treasure, a new life begun.
