Hello,

We are John and Lisa from Wisconsin.

We sincerely respect you for considering an adoption plan for your child. We want you to make the best decision for you and your baby's future. And, we feel you've already started this journey on the right foot by choosing the gift of life and even considering this path.

We are a couple that fell in love on our first date. We were playing darts, having a fantastic time while enjoying one another's company and an older couple came to us and commented on how happy we were and what a great couple we made. I think it was at that moment we really knew something about our relationship was different and special. We are truly exuberant together!

About a year and a half later we married. Our marriage, friendship and companionship is based on loyalty, trust and respect. We really like to just have fun too! We know that we must have a solid marital foundation in order to be good parents. And, because we are in our late 30's we feel so well grounded in knowing what we want. John has two daughters from a previous marriage and we've built our home and family life with the girls around making good, smart and heart-felt decisions that better ourselves and those around us. We are a dad and stepmom trying to make a positive different in two teen girls' lives. And, I feel like we are smarter and better at it because of our past experiences.

Because of our inability to conceive, we decided to try and adopt. We very much want to raise and love our future child as we know it is the greatest gift we can give to each other by sharing that experience. John looks forward to teaching me his superdad abilities – showing me the “right” way to change a diaper. I look forward to rocking the baby to sleep and telling him/her about sticks & stones or sugar & spice. I think it is our combination of parenthood, blended family life, John's experience raising two little ones and my “born to be a mom” calling that will make us fabulous parents.

We come from good families here in the Midwest . We celebrate every single holiday with them and rotate as needed since our family all lives within a 3 hour radius. We escape to our family's cabin in the upper-peninsula Michigan to get a dose of nature's therapy. And, we spend a good deal of time with Megan and Melissa (John's daughters) as they live with us 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. We help them as they grow to be young, successful women themselves. Missy can't wait to finally be a BIG sister and Megan will be such a good help to me as she celebrates her sweet 16 time of life.

We love the outdoors, fishing for trout and pan fish, outlet malls, camping, traveling, football/basketball, good movies and spending time with our 2 year old yellow lab named Mae. Our pup keeps us silly and we have fun talking to her like goofballs. When the girls are not here, she bops her head into their bedroom doors looking around for them. I know she will follow me and watch over the baby like she does our house. I work from home as a graphic designer and will continue to do so with our future child.

Our triangle with our future child's biological parent(s) will be handled in a trusting, sensitive manner to provide our child a good foundation so s/he can grow up & reach for the sky – we trust the rest will fall in place.
