Welcome

Dear Expectant Parent(s),

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us and our journey toward parenthood. Our names are Dan and Jodi and we're in our early 30s. We met our junior year in college, quickly became best friends and have been married for nine years. That's the short, short version.

We're ready for the next chapter of our lives – to start and grow a family together. We've been ready for a while now, but a few infertility issues got in the way of our dreams. Ironically, those years of struggle also strengthened our relationship. We dug deep and leaned on each other through a very emotional time. It made us evaluate what we really wanted in life – and that was to be parents. We're excited to enter this phase of life through an adoption plan where we can love, guide and enjoy raising a child as our own.

What can we offer?

Stability

We have close-knit, supportive families and friends. Between the two families, we have five nephews. The oldest is seven and the newest member was born in July 2007. We're lucky to see them often and take them on fun daytrips like Brewer games and county fairs. Our parents have both been maried for more than 30 years and Jodi's grandparents recently celebrated wedding anniversary number 61!

We both have full-time jobs. Dan is a computer systems analyst and Jodi works at a local marketing/advertising agency. Both companies are family-friendly which was important to us when choosing a place to work.

Activity

We are doers. Dan still plays volleyball competitively, which allows us the opportunity to travel with other couples and young families some weekends. Dan has also completed two marathons in the last couple of years. We take an annual camping trip with Dan's family and Jodi's parents recently bought a winter home in Florida. We can't wait to visit during the cold Wisconsin winters.

We also enjoy spending time at home together and just hanging out playing board games, or going for walks around the neighborhood. Our friends visit often with their children for barbeques or sometimes for no special reason at all. We can't wait to share all these experiences – big or small - with a new little addition.

Affection

To us, this is the most important of them all. We are blessed to have found each other early in life. We enjoy each day and make each other laugh. Sometimes at each other, but we're still laughing. We're strong individuals, but stronger together. We look forward to sharing the loving, supportive and nurturing life we have built together with a child of our own. What that child doesn't know today, is that it will provide us those same things. We may not be able to create life, but we can help a child live it.

Thank you again for taking the time to learn about us. There is no doubt that you already convey an unconditional love for your child by even considering this path. We wish the best for you in your own journey and hope you find the courage and strength within, no matter what your decision.

Dan and Jodi
